03 · PRACTICE

Useful software, built close to the work.

I work best where product, operations, and code meet: shipping the interface, hardening the workflow, and removing manual steps that slow teams down.

01

Product systems

Dashboards, client-facing apps, and internal tools with clear flows, stable data boundaries, and interfaces people can scan without training.

Next.js / React / Postgres

02

Workflow automation

Intake, notifications, reporting, content sync, and repeatable operations that should not live in someone's head or inbox.

server actions / cron / email

03

Trust surfaces

Client portals, proposal flows, signed links, audit trails, and generated documents where errors need to be boring and recoverable.

04 · ABOUT · LISBOA

Half engineer, half cape-wearing tuno.

João M. Mota. Full-stack web developer, Lisbon. I build SaaS products and automation systems — mostly in React, Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma, and Postgres — and I ship a lot of side projects that nobody asked for.

When I'm not at the keyboard I'm on rock (sport and boulder), on a wave, on a deck, or in a cape. The cape is Estudantina Universitária de Lisboa — an academic Tuna, the centuries-old Portuguese tradition of students who show up at night with a guitarra portuguesa and a song. Old world. My code is new world. The site holds both.

This whole site is a workshop-study seen after hours. Every object in the room is a project. A single gold line threads them together. Follow the line, see the work.
